'Rocky Horror' 35th Anniversary Blu-ray Set for October Release

The Rocky Horror Picture Show celebrates its 35th anniversary with a Blu-ray debut on October 19 from 20th Century Fox.
The movie was adapted from Richard O’Brien’s British musical horror comedy/rock opera, produced by Lou Adler and Michael White, The Rocky Horror Picture Show stars Tim Curry (Clue, Home Alone) as a Dr. Frankie-N-Furter, that “sweet transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania,” with Barry Bostwick (Spin City) and Susan Sarandon (Dead Man Walking, Thelma and Louise)  as Brad and Janet, the couple who find themselves lost on that cold, rainy night only to be let into a strange mansion home and taught "The Time Warp" by party guests.
With a restored high definition transfer and 7.1 audio the Blu-ray's exclusive new content includes "Rocky-oke: Sing It!," Picture-In-Picture Shadowcast Performance, Vintage Callback Track (Unrated), Prop Box, and a two-part Shadowcasting documentary, as well as exclusive new content including BD-LIVE: Live Lookup, Photo Galleries, plus Deleted Scenes, Audio Commentary and more.
For a limited time, The Rocky Horror Picture Show: 35thAnniversary will be packaged in a collectible 24-page book featuring shots from legendary rock and roll photographer Mick Rock who was chief photographer on the film.

Considered the greatest cult film of all time and still in limited release, Rocky Horror, available on DVD, is the longest-running theatrical release in film history. The movie was selected by the U.S. Library of Congress for preservation in the United States National Film Registry for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." And it's still a midnight movie favorite decades later, not just in America, but all over the world.
